OPTASIA COLLABORATES WITH ECOBANK AND MTN FOR NEW MOBILE FINANCIAL SERVICE IN GUINEA
30 January 2023Optasia, a leading Fintech services provider, is happy to announce the launch of a micro-loan via MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) service with pan-African bank Ecobank in Guinea and its long-standing and strategic distribution network partner MTN, as part of the latter’s Banktech strategy in Guinea with over 4.25 million subscribers and over 800,000 active mobile money wallet (MoMo) users.
The services will be offered to MTN’s subscribers in the country under the Ecobank product name ‘Prêt Xpress’, which is powered by Optasia’s AI-led technology platform – providing valuable financial solutions to people that are unbanked or underbanked, while at the same time strengthening the partnership between Optasia, MTN Group and Ecobank in Guinea.

This deployment is the first MoMo loan service provided by MTN in the country, pioneering a series of deployments that Optasia will be rolling out with MTN in Uganda, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Benin and many others.
Guinea will be added to the more than 30 countries where Optasia has an operational presence, supporting over 560 million end customers of Mobile Network Operators and financial institutions through our AI-led platform.
