Channel VAS is rebranding to Optasia!

27 September 2022

We are thrilled about the news we are sharing with the world today, as this is the next big step of our evolution towards enabling financial access for the next billion customers:

Channel VAS is rebranding to Optasia, named after our proprietary AI platform, that brings various lending products under the same roof. This data-driven platform has revolutionized, and will continue to do so, the Fintech industry.

Since Channel VAS’s inception, over a decade ago, we have grown to become a global leader in the Fintech field, constantly expanding to new regions and adding new solutions, offerings, and untapped monetization opportunities for all our partners and clients, while at the same time providing financial inclusion to the underbanked and unbanked in emerging markets. This rebranding is the next step in transforming our company into a business entity that will continue to spearhead the financial inclusion revolution for years to come.

Redefining our brand as Optasia will best align our business scope with the modern era and the ever-changing demands of the industry, while at the same time carry on our experience, track record and legacy that have brought us this far – bridging our strong past with a future that looks brighter and more promising than ever. Optasia will not only refresh our image but also entirely change the way we position ourselves in the global Fintech ecosystem, moving us forward towards achieving even more milestones as our roadmap for 2022 and beyond looks more solid and promising than ever.

Bassim Haidar, Optasia Founder and Chairman stated: “Optasia uses state of the art technology to enable financial access to the next billion customers across the global emerging markets. The technological and financial empowerment that data science brings in the regions where economic boost is most needed, is paramount to their future development”.

“Globally, 1.7 billion adults are unbanked – without an account at a financial institution or through a mobile money provider. Although the figure has been systematically decreasing, it still accounts for an enormous gap. Optasia plans to spearhead this financial inclusion in the next few years” Mr. Haidar concluded.

The visitors of this year’s MWC in Barcelona will be among the first to see our new branding up close, as our stand at Hall 5, stand no. 5H51 will be co-branded, both as Channel VAS and Optasia. Full deployment of all new corporate assets will follow in the next weeks.

We welcome you all to join us in celebrating the dawn of a new era in revolutionizing financial inclusion and enablement, through Optasia!
